Whoops - subliminal messages from the BBC?

Monday was of course the start of the New Year 2007.

The Crow family were all watching it begin on BBC 1, with accompanying scenes of fireworks from the London Eye and along the Thames.

"Let this spectacular scene inspire you in the New Year" went the commentary just as the camera pulled back to show the Houses of Parliament engulfed in explosions ...
