Maybe the Conservatives were right?

The "New Labour, New Danger" ad campaign by the Conservative Party came out in the run up to the 1997 General Election.

It was heavily criticised at the time for being a personal attack on Tony Blair and is considered to have badly backfired on the Tories (they lost badly to New Labour).

The Impossible Planet: First Draft

The latest Doctor Who episode, The Impossible Planet, was screened last night. Some viewers were upset by the death of one character, however the Crow can reveal the first draft of the script would have been even more traumatised by the scene as originally conceived in the first draft.

Captain (over the intercom): Evacuate 11 to 13 we have a breach. The base is open. Repeat. The base is open.

The crew scramble through tunnels filled with venting gas until they, Rose and the Doctor gather in Habitation Module 3.

The Doctor: What happened?

Captain (over the intercom): Hull breach – we’re exposed to the elements. Everyone alright?

Security Officer (into communicator): We’re just missing the one person so far.

Captain (over the intercom): Any idea where they are.

The Doctor looks up to the observation dome above.

The Doctor: I’ve found them. Sorry – I’m so sorry.

Security Officer (into communicator): Captain. Report officer Sooty deceased at time 43K 2.1.

Security Officer (continues...): How should man die better than facing fearful odds, for the ashes of his fathers, and the temples of his gods?
